Meet Our Staff

Our Site Coordinators

Our Site Coordinators coordinate support for students and families, as well as implements programs and activities based upon the specific needs of the school.  They work with community partners and volunteers to bring needed supports into the school to help students succeed.

Kasie Morris

I am Kasie Morris, the CIS Site Coordinator for Barwise Middle School.  I graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.  This year I am looking forward to learning new things, and what I can bring as a new Site Coordinator to Barwise Middle School!

I am the Site Coordinator at Kirby Middle School.  I am a graduate from Midwestern State University with a Licensure in Social Work. This year I am most looking forward to meeting the students of Kirby Middle School, getting to know the staff, and being active in serving my community!

My name is Nanette Trotman.  I am the CIS Site Coordinator at Hirsch High and I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Midwestern State University. I have been in CIS for 6 years. What I am most looking forward to this year is the opportunity of collaborating with new community partners to ensure our students get the most out of our services and the community!

Toni Alonzo

I was born, raised, and educated in the Wichita Falls.  I have a Bachelor of Arts/Sociology from Midwestern State University.  I have been a Case Manager with the Dept. of Human Services and a College/Career Facilitator with the WFISD.  My community service experience primed my for my career with Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area (CISGWFA).

My journey with Communities In Schools began in August 2007 as the CIS Program Manager (Site Coordinator) at Hirschi High School.  I worked my way up through various positions at CISGWFA and have been the Proud Executive Director since 2015.

My personal mission is to empower students through education so that they may be a part of a productive and successful society.  I am dedicated to serving my community and have a passion for the CIS MISSION:  SURROUNDING STUDENTS WITH A COMMUNITY OF SUPPORT, EMPOWERING THEM TO STAY IN SCHOOL AND ACHIEVE IN LIFE

I was the Site Coordinator at Wichita Falls High School for nine years before becoming the Program Coordinator.  I am married and have two sons.

Atzhiri Acosta

My name is Atzhiri Acosta and I am a graduate of Midwestern State University with a degree in Social Work. I have been with CIS for four years. As the CIS caseworker I am passionate and dedicated to serving the community that helped raise me. I look forward to supporting students and our Site Coordinators on all 8 campuses served by CIS with compassion, love, humility, and gratitude.

My name is Connie Herrera and I am a former educator specializing in early education. I am elated to be joining the CISGWFA team in the capacity of Data Coordinator. I look forward to traveling to the campuses and supporting the Site Coordinators in essential data entries.
