At the very heart of Communities In Schools Greater Wichita Falls Area is our commitment to bringing responsible, caring adults into the lives of children. Volunteers help our students to stay in school and achieve in life by providing supportive relationships for students during the school day through various roles.

Our volunteers’ work and commitment push our students to improve their academic performance, decrease the number of missed school days, and have better engagement in class.

Most of our volunteer opportunities are located on a school campus. Volunteers are matched to the specific needs of that campus. Please remember that most volunteer opportunities will be during the school day (8 am – 4 pm).

DONATE TO HELP STUDENTS DURING THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

Time and time again we hear from students, teachers, and families that personal hygiene and clean clothing are major issues among the children in our schools. These students feel like outsiders and withdraw from their classmates. We know that not having food, clean clothes, or basic hygiene items obstructs children’s ability to learn and thrive.

Obtaining personal hygiene products can be a huge challenge. They are expensive and buying them can shift money away from other important purchases like food and transportation. That is why we are continuing the Back Pack Drive for all of our campuses throughout the year.

The Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area Annual Pack the Back Pack School Hygiene Drive provides free hygiene supplies to thousands of underserved students and families throughout the school year.
