Our PowerPak program is one of the most effective options to address weekend hunger in children. Nutritious and easy to prepare foods, including whole-grain cereals, trail mix, peanut butter, sunflower seeds, and fruit juices, are bagged and provided to children in need at school on Fridays so they can obtain necessary nutrients over the weekend and return to school on Monday, nourished and ready to learn. The program focuses on food-insecure children ages 3-15 years old and is coordinated by our Child Hunger department who secure, sort, and deliver the PowerPaks, work closely with the schools to identify and serve food-insecure children and manage a robust volunteer program that is full of dedicated community members who are passionate about PowerPak4Kids. Each year, we serve approximately 1700 children through our PowerPak 4 Kids program!

The Kitchen serves over 850 seniors, homebound and disabled individuals each weekday Monday through Friday through our Meals on Wheels program.
The Red Door serves as the foundation for The Kitchen, and over the years has been the catalysts of expansion for its programs and services.
THE Kitchen is a vendor for the Kid’s Café, a program of the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, that feeds children in many after-school programs in our community
The Green Door offers seniors the opportunity to enjoy fellowship around a warm meal and services to ensure each senior can remain independent.

If you need food, the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is here to help. We will assist you in locating the nearest food pantry or other sources of emergency food in your area. Referral help is also available 24/7 by dialing 211 FIRST.
